High speed chase ends in drug arrests east of Eagle

EAGLE COUNTY — On March 26 at about 2:20 p.m., the Vail Public Safety Communication Center received numerous 911 calls concerning a reckless driving suspect. A silver Nissan SUV was driving west bound on I-70 at Vail Pass in excess of 100 miles per hour and running motorists off the road. Law enforcement officers from the Vail Police Department, Avon Police Department, Colorado State Patrol and Eagle County Sheriff’s Office attempted to catch up to the vehicle.
