VAIL — Walking into Vail police headquarters, the smell of coffee gets stronger the closer you get to the nerve center of the security effort for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.In that nerve center are representatives from more than two dozen local, state and federal agencies, each one watching a computer screen or listening to chatter from the town’s dispatch center.
