BEAVER CREEK — The way Aksel Lund Svindal skied at the World Championships super-G, it was hard to believe that the downhill champ and Olympic medalist had recently been off the snow for three months.Svindal, who tore his Achilles tendon in October while kicking a soccer ball around, was not expected to return to competition in time for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, much less post a time in the top 10.
