EAGLE — In typical stand up, the comedian reels off a set of written jokes that are, in many cases, keenly choreographed and timed to set up the punch line and, hopefully, elicit the desired response. Improvisational comedy, on the other hand, couldn’t be more diametrically opposed, with a concept or idea taking on spontaneous direction and, in the right hands, a comic life of its own.
