Starting Hearts appoints a new executive director

AVON — Lynn Blake, founder and president of Starting Hearts, a Vail Valley-based nonprofit dedicated to saving lives through CPR/automated external defibrillator (AED) education and AED placement, has announced the appointment of Alan Himelfarb as the organization’s new executive director. “We received an overwhelming response to the job opening and feel fortunate to have had such a rich pool of applicants,” Blake said. “Alan embodies the spirit and drive upon which Starting Hearts was founded and will be a tremendous asset to the organization.
