GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Battle Mountain boys basketball used its long-distance approach to take an early lead Friday night. The Glenwood Springs Demons made sure that lead was short-lived. Glenwood junior Cameron Horning finished with a game-high 21 points to pace the Demons, who used a big run spanning the second and third quarters to overcome an eight-point deficit on their way to a 59-44 class 4A Western Slope League victory at Chavez-Spencer Gymnasium. ‘We were letting a lot of 3s go in, and they were knocking everything down,” said Horning, who also had a game-high nine rebounds and finished 9-of-16 …
