Lindsey Vonn has been a part of World Championships dating back to the last time Vail and Beaver Creek hosted the event, in 1999, when she was a course slipper. Her first Worlds as a competitor were in 2005, and she has competed at each event through 2013, when she suffered a devastating knee injury in Schladming, Austria.
