Former county employee faces felony embezzlement charges

EAGLE — A former Eagle County government employee has been arrested and charged with embezzling $124,239. Brenda Wright, 55, of Gypsum, turned herself in Friday and made her first court appearance at 11 a.m., where she was advised that she faces felony theft charges for embezzling from the Eagle County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.
