VAIL — A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Vail area from this morning until noon Wednesday. The National Weather Service is calling for 8 to 14 inches of snow, with winds of 15 to 25 mph. Conditions will make for more difficult travels on Interstate 70, especially Vail Pass, the weather service said. Joel Gratz of OpenSnow.com is calling for an additional 3-8 inches for Vail today and Wednesday, followed by dry weather until early next week. Vail reported 8 inches of snow Tuesday morning in the previous 24 hours. …
