VAIL — Forecasters are calling for a round of snow this weekend to coincide with the opening of Vail Mountain Friday. “Vail could not have timed their opening day on Friday any better because after a sunny start to the season, snow will start to fall on Saturday night and should continue through at least next Tuesday,” said Joel Gratz of Open Snow. Gratz said Vail should expect 4-7 inches Saturday night and another 2-4 through Monday night.
