Gypsum man admits sexually assaulting a child

EAGLE — A local plumber and grandfather admitted to felony sex assault on a child. Rhett Enlow, 59, pleaded guilty Wednesday to criminal attempt to commit sex assault. Enlow owns and operates Call a Plumber. During Wednesday’s hearing, Enlow’s teenaged victim and his father declined to make a statement. For his part, Enlow attempted to apologize. “I ask that (the boy) and his family accept my apologies. I am extremely sorry,” Enlow said after he pleaded guilty. Deputy District Attorney Rebecca Wiard prosecuted the case, and expressed concerns about Enlow’s statements during his psychosexual evaluation that it was consensual. “I …
