EDWARDS — There was a band playing before a Battle Mountain football game. Not the school marching band, but a band of students (Jasper Stone, Jack Wickum, Michael Evans and Andrew Herrera) playing the Black Eyed Peas’ “Let’s get it Started,” before the Huskies hosted Basalt on Friday night for Homecoming. That’s definitely a first for the culture surrounding Huskies football. The Battle Mountain defense got it started in the second half for a 52-28 victory over Basalt.
