DENVER — Hey, Eagle Valley volleyball, you wanna pick on somebody your own size? The Devils jumped into the deep end this weekend in the silver division of the Regis Jesuit Jam Tournament and went 3-1, finishing second. In the process, the Devils beat 3A Kent Denver in four games, and then both 5A Mountain Range in three and 5A Poudre in four. The only blemish on the weekend was a tight loss to 5A Monarch in five, 19-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-11. “It really builds the character of your team,” Devils coach Lindsey Myers said of playing bigger competition. …
