VAIL — Road improvements are under way on 7.7 miles of the Frontage roads in the town of Vail. The Colorado Department of Transportation project consists of milling off the old roadway and replacing it with new asphalt, curb ramp improvements to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and guardrail replacement. The project begins at mile marker 172.2 and extends to mile marker 179.9. Both North and South Frontage roads will see intermittent left and right lane closures, including both the West Vail and Main Vail roundabouts.
