Eagle County residents promote Save Our Restaurants (#saveourrestaurantsvailvalley)
The Save Our Restaurants communications campaign was conceived by two Singletree residents, Melinda Gladitsch and Beverly Freedman, both retired business women, who are deeply concerned that their beloved local restaurants are hurting during the economic downturn due to the COVID crisis.
The campaign promotes a simple message to our community – restaurants in Eagle County are open for business – they are weathering the storm but they need your help! This is a call to action: one of the easiest ways to support your favorite establishment is to order take-out once a week.
#saveourrestaurantsvailvalley encourages all residents and visitors to visit their favorite restaurants’ websites or social platforms and find out what they have going on, what specials they are running, and what they are offering during this difficult business environment.
All restaurants have had to adapt incredibly quickly and are still providing safe and healthy dining options. Many restaurants now have contactless payments, delivery, and many restaurants are offering curbside delivery. How easy is it to order online, drive over to your favorite place, pull up to the curb, and the restaurant will provide a professionally cooked dinner right to the trunk of your car?
Ideally, the restaurants would like people to share their experience on social media, tagging the restaurant and #saveourrestaurantsvailvalley creating social awareness to encourage everyone to do their part.
Eagle County Government, the Vail Valley Partnership, Vail Chamber, the Eagle Chamber and other municipalities are all participating in this effort through social media support. Look for further information and ads in the Vail Daily and listen to your local radio stations for further updates.
