Vail police announce promotion, new hires

VAIL — Vail Police Chief Dwight Henninger recently announced the promotion of Officer Justin Liffick to sergeant and the hiring of two new officers to fill vacancies left by two former officers who have been appointed to leadership roles in other mountain towns. Officer Stephen Williams, previously a dispatcher for the Vail Public Safety Communications Center, has joined the department after completing the Colorado Mountain College, Spring Valley Campus Police Academy. Henninger also welcomed Officer Sarah Stewart to the department. Stewart has been a police officer in Tennessee for the past two years. She will attend a Colorado Update Academy …
