Lost Solar fire following natural course

MEEKER — Smoke from the Lost Solar fire is visible in Eagle County as it has grown in acreage since Tuesday due to weather and conditions to about 2,024 acres.The fire has been burning since Aug. 8, and due to its remote location in the Flat Tops Wilderness and its natural ignition, the Blanco Ranger District and local fire personnel are managing the fire with a confine and contain strategy.Crews will continue to monitor the fire from a safe distance and allow the fire to take its natural course within a pre-identified management boundary, formed from natural barriers such as …
