EAGLE COUNTY — The Colorado Department of Transportation has announced rescheduled daytime, closures for Interstate 70 through Glenwood Canyon. The new dates are Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The highway will be closed to all traffic. The Glenwood Canyon closure is necessary for continued rockfall safety work using a helicopter at mile point 124.2, just west of the Hanging Lake Tunnel.During these operations, the eastbound closure point is at Exit 116 (Glenwood Springs) and the westbound closure point is at Exit 133 (Dotsero).
