Vail Resorts reaches deal for worker housing in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY — Vail Resorts has reached a deal with Gorman & Co. to build much-needed workforce housing in Summit County.The continent’s largest resort developer announced Thursday it would lease its Wintergreen parcel near Keystone to Wisconsin-based Gorman for $35,400 a year. In exchange, Gorman will build up to 200 affordable units for Summit County seasonal workers earning $10 to $12 an hour and for families earning year-round salaries.
