VAIL — A Lakewood man traveling by motorcycle in the 3600 block of the North Frontage Road near the East Vail interchange has died after striking a deer. The accident took place approximately 12:30 a.m. Monday. The crash was discovered by a taxi driver who immediately called 911 to report the incident. The male motorcyclist, identified as 54-year-old Gary George Stock, was breathing but unresponsive to arriving emergency workers. Stock was immediately transported to Vail Valley Medical Center by ambulance. Within 30 minutes of his arrival at the hospital, Stock was flown via helicopter to Denver Health.
