Local athletes leaving their marks on state

DENVER — Day 2 of state track and field saw all three local schools record podium finishes in Denver.Battle Mountain’s Elizabeth Constien finished ninth in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11 minutes, 32.49 seconds. Kaela Fahrney took 16th in that same race in 12:05.87.The Huskies’ 1,600 girls relay team made it through preliminaries. Gabby Trueblood, Alex Raichart, Melissa Delgado and Naomi Harding finished eighth in 4:00.85. They will race today in the finals.Demetrius Parrish took 16th in the 300 hurdles in 41.11 seconds.For Eagle Valley, John Davis took ninth in the high jump. He went 6 feet, 3.5 …
