California man arrested on attempted murder warrant in Edwards

EDWARDS — A local narcotics team arrested a California man wanted for attempted murder.Raymond Morales, 22, had been living in Eagle-Vail and Avon for about a month when citizens told police where he was, said the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.Officers with the Gore Range Narcotics Interdiction Team (GRANITE) found Morales in his car, driving around the Edwards area.Eagle County Sheriff’s deputies knew Morales was in the area, but knew him as Tony Vallejo, a false identity he had been using.When authorities straightened out his identity, they found California arrest warrants for attempted murder and bail bond violations.
