VAIL – Interstate 70 is closed in both directions at Vail Pass, due to multiple accidents. Estimated time of reopening was said to be at least an hour as of about 2:30 p.m. A winter storm warning, issued by the National Weather Service, remains in effect until Sunday evening. Vail Mountain was also closed for part of the day on Friday, due to lightning. It reopened at about 2 p.m. after being closed for more than two hours. …
