Sixteenth annual highway cleanup set for May 7

EAGLE COUNTY — The Eagle River Watershed Council’s 16th annual Community Pride Highway Cleanup is May 7.The annual event attract hundreds of locals, who pick up trash along 138 miles of roadways in Eagle County (Interstate 70 and U.S. Highways 6, 24 and 131).The event begins at 9 a.m., and a free thank-you barbecue follows at Arrowhead’s Broken Arrow Cafe.The party will feature live music from First Chair, beer from Crazy Mountain Brewing Co., free gifts and the chance to win raffle prizes.The highlight of the party is the Golden Toilet Seat Award given to the team that collects the …
