STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Eagle Valley baseball let its bats do the talking in a doubleheader sweep of Steamboat Springs on Tuesday, downing the Sailors, 13-3, and 22-4.That puts the Devils at 4-0 in the 4A Slope in a stop-and start season. Eagle Valley, not by design, was off all of last week, with postponed games against Montrose and Battle Mountain.“It was huge,” Devils manager Jesse Meryhew said. “It’s baseball. Breaks (in the schedule) can be a curse. It was good to see the guys on the field and swinging the bats.”The Devils broke open the lidlifter with a five-run third. …
