Huskies girls track and field wins at Rifle

RIFLE — New faces, same result.Battle Mountain girls track and field had an auspicious opener on Friday night at the Rifle Invitational, winning the meet with 97 points. Glenwood Springs was second. The boys finished third with 52 points behind Class 5A Fruita Monument (143.5) and Glenwood Springs (61.5).“It was pretty awesome,” Huskies co-head coach Max Van Dyke said. “Almost half of our team is new.
