VAIL – A mid-morning tractor-trailer accident was the first of several Thursday as winter weather rolled through the valley.A westbound Federal Express tandem rig rolled at the bottom of Vail Pass, near the East Vail exit.Motorists lit up the local 911 switchboard, beginning at 9:22 a.m.Vail fire fighters extricated the male driver from the 2012 Volvo tractor. Vail police said he was injured, but walked to the ambulance that took him to the Vail hospital.
