New Eagle bridge slated to open in early October

EAGLE — If everything goes according to plan, in just over two weeks motorists will be crossing Brush Creek on the west end of Eagle over a newly opened, $3.9 million bridge.The bridge project began this spring and since early June, cars have been diverted from the U.S. Highway 6 route to temporary traffic lanes and a temporary bridge while crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation completed the demolition and replacement of a 1930s-era structure.
