EDWARDS — A Cordillera home sustained significant damage in a Sunday evening fire.At about 6 p.m., Eagle River Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a structure fire on Saddle Ridge Road in Cordillera above Edwards. Eagle County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported smoke and flames visible as they responded up Squaw Creek Road.When firefighters arrived, the single-family home was “fully involved” in flames. Firefighters took up a defensive position to protect nearby residences.
