School records fall at Battle Mountain Invite

EDWARDS — There was time for the serious and not too serious at Tuesday’s Battle Mountain Invitational in Edwards.In serious stuff, Battle Mountain’s David Casas went 153 feet, 8 inches while winning the discus. That’s just 3 inches short of Josh Henry’s school record, set way back in 2001. And this was just after Jessica Cuomo tied Morgan Spanel’s girls discus record last weekend.As far as actually breaking school records, that happened, too. Izze Calabrese broke her own mark in the pole vault. The Huskies’ 800-meter girls relay of the Calabreses (Izze and Sofia), Lily McMurrain and Taylor Anderson recorded …
