Two local school officials among finalists for Telluride job

EAGLE COUNTY — Two local school administrators are among the four finalists for Telluride’s top school district job.Mike Gass and Tiffany Dougherty made the final four from a field of 29 applicants vying to be superintendent of Telluride’s school district.Telluride hopes to hire someone by the end of this month, the school district said in its announcement.Dougherty is principal of Eagle Valley Elementary School. Under her guidance, Eagle Valley Elementary is one of the few local schools to earn top marks from Colorado School Grades this year.Gass has been with Eagle County schools since 1992, serving as a teacher, administrator …
