Police seek dogs stolen from animal shelter

EAGLE — A burglar broke into the Eagle County Animal Shelter and stole three dogs.Authorities are looking for Auggie, Coyote and Cash, who were stolen during what local authorities are calling the animal’s shelter’s first-ever break-in.It happened during the night late Sunday/early Monday, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.When the animal shelter staff arrived for work Monday morning, the dogs were gone.One of the three dogs had been brought in that Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office said. The other two were rescue dogs.The case remains under investigation and authorities are asking for help identifying suspects, and in locating the dogs.Auggie …
