Mitsch Bush’s bill advances

VAIL — A bill from Rep. Diane Mitsch Bush, D-Steamboat Springs, to cut red tape and help Colorado Mountain College passed the Education Committee Monday with unanimous support. Under current law, CMC is required to keep two separate operating budgets, one for its two-year programs and one for its four-year programs. HB14-1224 clarifies that CMC may use state money to fund both its two-year and four-year academic programs under one operating budget. “Colorado Mountain College already offers high-quality four-year degrees,” Rep.
