Habitat will build four homes in 10 days this summer

VAIL — The concept that eventually grew into Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley was born at a Minturn pizza restaurant in 1995 when locals Michael Wasmer and Ron and Patti Brave had dinner with Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat International. Fuller convinced them to start a local chapter, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2015. To commemorate the milestone, Habitat will partner with the Blitz Home Builders group as well as local volunteers to build four homes in 10 days.
