BEAVER CREEK — He won his first World Cup race in Beaver Creek in 2005, and, nearly 10 years later, the place still has a special place in heart.Hannes Reichelt won the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships men’s super-G at Birds xof Prey on Thursday, giving the Austrians the first two golds of the Championships after teammate Anna Fenninger won the women’s super-G on Tuesday.Reichelt, who has won super-G on these slopes in super-G in 2005, 2007 and 2014, raced out of the 20th spot and clocked in at 1 minute, 15.68 seconds.
