EAGLE — Vail Valley Cares Thrifty Shops are again offering grants for local non-profit organizations located within Eagle County and adjoining communities that provide benefits to Eagle County residents and workers. Vail Valley Cares grants provide funding for organizations that address basic human needs, protect individuals and families,assist individuals and families in achieving self-sufficiency, and promote growth and healthy lifestyles. “We are still reviewing financials, but we estimate we’ll give between $250,000 and $300,000 in grants this year,” said Vail Valley Cares Director Greg Osteen. “We prefer to donate funds to specific programs, and we hope local nonprofit organizations will …
