EDWARDS — The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration invites community members to attend a special Advent event called “Adoring Hymns and Singing Angels” from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. The event takes place at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel, beginning with champagne and wassail, followed by a potluck supper of festive foods of the season. The church will provide the entrees (roasted goose, duck, turkey and ham); all guests attending the event are asked to bring a side dish or vegetable for 10 people. The church will also be serving special desserts of cookies and cupcakes as well as coffee, tea and lemonade. …
