Winter storm warning issued; 10-20 inches in forecast

VAIL — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Vail area, in effect from 3 p.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Monday. The warning calls for a total of 10-20 inches. Snow is expected to begin Saturday afternoon, with the heaviest snow falling Saturday night. Opensnow.com calls for 4-7 inches by Sunday morning. Another round of snow Sunday night into Monday will bring an additional 6-10 inches, the website said. The winter storm warning covers Vail, Aspen and Crested Butte. …
