Semi crash closes I-70 near Wolcott

EAGLE COUNTY — Westbound Interstate 70 near Wolcott was closed for three hours because of a jackknifed semi Thursday. At about 11:50 a.m., a semi-truck and box trailer was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near milepost 158 in a left curve when the trailer lost traction on the snowy road. The semi jackknifed and skidded counterclockwise off of the left side of the road, where it collided with a guardrail with its front.
