EDWARDS — It was a sour end to a very sweet season. Pueblo County dashed any hopes of a Battle Mountain’s playoff berth with a 47-7 win over the Huskies on Friday night in Edwards. That the Huskies, 0-10 a year ago, were even in playoff contention is a statement of how far they have come this season under new coach Kevin Meyer. Battle Mountain finished 6-3 overall and as champions of the 2A Slope North, and has clearly laid a foundation for the future.
