Q: Does it really take just one stamp to mail back our election ballots? I’ve heard it might take more than one. A: According to Eagle County Clerk and Recorder Teak Simonton, the ballot, secrecy sleeve and envelope you’ll mail back for this fall’s elections weighs in right at one ounce. That’s the maximum weight covered by a first-class stamp. If you want to mail anything else along with your ballot, then the package will come in at more than one ounce and will require additional postage.
