Hospital welcomes new foundation president

VAIL — Vail Valley Medical Center recently announced the appointment of Daniel Pennington, who will serve as president of the Vail Valley Medical Center Foundation. “Dan brings 25 years of invaluable experience in philanthropy, nonprofit business, and healthcare leadership to VVMC,” said President and CEO Doris Kirchner. “As we embark on building Vail’s hospital of the future, Dan will lead a capital campaign to support this initiative.” Pennington was the senior development director at Mayo Clinic for 10 years, where he was responsible for raising funds that average more than $320 million annually.
