New candidate is running for Eagle County surveyor

EAGLE COUNTY — The race for the Eagle County surveyor’s job is no longer a one-man affair. With incumbent surveyor Dan Corcoran retiring, Ted Archibeque, of Eagle, a Republican who ran for the office in 2010, looked like he wouldn’t have an opponent. But Teak Simonton, Eagle County’s clerk and recorder, announced this week that Kelly Miller has submitted enough petition signatures to earn a place on the ballot as an unaffiliated candidate.
