Huskies open season with a bang; snap skid

EDWARDS — Anyone remember the last time Battle Mountain football had a pick-six? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? And so the Huskies’ Noah Shamis streaked down the east sideline 92 yards for a touchdown after picking off Middle Park quarterback Dalton Tucker, starting Battle Mountain on its way to a 58-0 win over the Panthers. And with that the Huskies snapped a 21-game losing streak, dating back to Week 10 of the 2011 season. And there was much rejoicing.
